Mortgage application volume increased 1.8% on an adjusted basis during the week ended November 24, despite a slight increase in mortgage rates, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey.
On an unadjusted basis, the Index increased 0.1% compared with the previous week.
Applications for refinances increased 0.4% while applications for purchases decreased 0.4%.
Year over year, applications for refinances were down 34% while applications for purchases were down 4%.
