The Buzz About Valuation Expo

Valuation Expo is almost here. This year the conference will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront June 29^th-July 1^st.  Even though it is just a few weeks away there is still time to register and join your peers at one of the biggest conferences in the industry.

It has been a while since the event has been held on the east coast; so we are expecting a lot of first timers this year. We asked some of our more experienced Valuation Expo attendees to describe Valuation Expo for people that don’t know what it’s about. What is your favorite part of Valuation Expo?

Valuation Expo has consistently been the most informative annual venue for professionals within the mortgage lending / valuation industry for several years, providing attendees access to many of the industry’s leading subject matter experts, regulators, political pundits and renowned authors. – Greg Stephens

What is one way that Valuation Expo has improved your business?

It’s great to have access to head of the VA, FHA, or even Wells Fargo and you can call or e-mail them questions directly. If not for the Expo, I would have never meet these people and I must say it’s nice having access to people with so much knowledge. It will definitely help you professionally and will be a great boost for your business. – Luke Tomaszewski

What you are looking forward to most this year for Valuation Expo?

I am most looking forward to the speakers that are assembled and the topics they will speak about. I learn so much every year from my peers and the appraisers in attendance.  Valuation Expo is my favorite event to attend throughout the year!! – Tony Pistilli

What advice would you give to someone who has never been to Valuation Expo? 

There are very few opportunities to meet with a large portion of your peers in a single location. Your ability to meet and understand the industry by those in different segments of the business will help you grow as a practitioner and as a businessman. The more you know the better you are and improvement never stops. – Ken DeFeo

There is absolutely no better venue to stay ahead of the game with new products, great guest speakers, and an opportunity to socialize with your peers on current and upcoming challenges in your business. If you’re only going to pick one to go to all year, this should be the one. – George Paquette
