The Appraiser Covid-19 Initiative

Times are difficult for those grieving a loss because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Collateral Risk Network, Inc. (CRN) has launched the GoFundMe Appraiser Covid-19 intended to support the families of appraisers who died from the Coronavirus (Covid-19). One critical component to the distribution of the funds is identifying the families affected. We need your help with this.

The funds will be dispersed to the surviving families by the CRN Board of Directors. The CRN Board of Directors will approve each recipient. The criteria for distribution are a certified death certificate identifying the cause of death as Covid-19 provided by the next of kin and documentation of a valid appraiser license. Membership of CRN is not a requirement.

The valuation community has rallied together to support those affected. Here were a couple of the comments we’ve received from donors to our cause:

  • Mike ($50): “This job has so many ups and downs, it is important that we are there for each other. Stay safe everyone.”
  • Beth ($50): “In this time of need we all need each other! This profession has been good to me and it is time to give back.”

We appreciate the kind words and donations you have given to these families. If every residential appraiser gave just $10.00, it would go a long way towards providing much needed financial support and security during a time of crisis and need. The GoFundMe will remain open for contributions through June 15th. Thank you again to all who have donated so far. Please consider donating to the GoFundMe Appraiser Covid-19 initiative intended to support the families of appraisers who have died from Covid-19.

If you are aware of an appraiser who died from Covid-19, please contact Their families remain our focus. We’d like to include them in the disbursements which will occur between June 16th and June 30, 2020.
