Today’s Buzzcast interview is with Jody Bishop, the new President of The Appraisal Institute. We sat down with Jody and Joan Trice, Founder of Allterra Group, LLC to discuss what the outlook for the Appraisal Institute is for 2022 and what appraisers can expect from their initiatives.

  1. Three pieces of flair, nice. Aside from a somewhat tone-deaf analogy to “serving 2 masters”, I wish more time was spent discussing the AI’s PAREA education program and what progress has been made in developing educational material and demonstrating its effectiveness in training the next generation of residential real estate appraisers. I personally am still not sold on the PAREA training program which unleashes licensed and certified appraisers into the marketplace, giving them the ability to submit appraisals to lenders and to the GSE’s without these people having any first-year oversight.
