If you operate as an independent real estate appraiser, you know that time is money. Are you looking for new ways to increase your efficiency as a property appraiser? To help you out, we asked our Facebook community, “What are the best time-saving hacks for appraisers?” Check out the following tricks contributed by real-life appraisers.

1. Anow software

Anow’s appraisal tracking software helps you manage all your orders, clients, fees, and more using one unified platform. Anow also offers additional features—such as calendar, map, email, invoicing, and financial analytics features—to help further improve your workflow and business organization.

2. Spark data importer

With Spark data importing software, you can import up to 30 comps from MLS and Public Records. Spark features a modern, easy-to-use interface that lets you quickly customize the way data is loaded into your grid. According to their website, “Spark saves you up to 60 minutes per report by filling out your grid, entire prior transfer history, 1004MC, charts, and more.”

3. Multiple monitors and screens

One appraiser told us, “I have a 43-inch Sony Bravia 4K TV divided into three screens with Display fusion, and two other 28-inch monitors on the side for five screens total.”

4. Laser measuring device

You can measure homes and buildings more quickly by using a laser measuring tool. Not sure what type of laser device to use? Recommendations from real-life appraisers include:

  • Disto laser
  • Leica Disto E7400x
  • Leica Disto D2
  • Bosch digital meter from Home Depot

5. Mobile inspection app

A mobile inspection app is another tool that can help streamline your appraisal process. For example, the Inspect-a-Lot Mobile App by Bradford Technologies helps you complete your work faster and easier by gathering only needed information in a streamlined and organized way.

6. GandySoft market analysis software

Completing a solid market analysis with adjustment support can be very time consuming. GandySoft makes it possible to complete a robust market analysis and support your appraisal adjustments in just a few short minutes.

7. Dragon dictation software

Finally, another way that real estate appraisers save time is by using Dragon dictation software to help write out reports and long addendums. It’s a great solution if you don’t like to type.
